Meet our Optometrists
Our team is led by three optometrist, Dr. Peter Pegolo, Dr. Joseph Petitti and Dr. Nicole Colasurdo. Our optometrists use state-of-the-art equipment and provide expert, individualized care for each patient that comes to our facility.
Dr. Peter Pegolo is the founder of Optometric Specialty Group and has over 20 years of experience in the field. He also works as an adjunct professor, helping other people reach their goals in the optometric field.
We also have Dr. Nicole Colasurdo on our team of optometrists. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science, Dr. Colasurdo continued her career by helping people with eye-related conditions, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Routine Eye Examinations
Patients should get their eyes examined at least once a year. Exams are important because this is when our team of professionals can detect eye-related conditions as they arise, rather than much later. As experts, we advocate for self-awareness. We want our patients to know how they’re doing and what they can do for better eyecare. At our clinic, we provide geriatric eye care and back to school eye exams as well.
Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses
If you need corrective eyewear, our team will help you decide between glasses and contacts. We want you to be comfortable with your eyewear. At our facility, we offer a variety of contact lenses and glasses frames to choose from. We offer Ortho-K contacts, which are lenses that are worn overnight to correct myopia.
Conditions Treated
Our optometrists are trained to detect and treat many different eye conditions. One of these is dry eye. There are several tests we perform to diagnose dry eye. We will provide eye drops or other treatments. Our team can also help with eye emergencies, like pink or red eyes or corneal foreign bodies in the eye. Our goal is to detect conditions early so that we can preserve your vision.
